Touring the Dali

Over 100 Salvador Dali Museum docents provide regular tours to museum visitors, school groups, and adult groups of all ages. Highly praised by visitors, our docents are scheduled for approximately 6 public tours a day; last year alone they led over 2,300 tours of the museum’s galleries.

For information about group discounts, please contact the Museum’s Group Tours Office from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday at 727.823.3767 ext. 3001.

Docent Tours

Dali Museum docents conduct hour-long public tours which are free of charge. While each tour features selections from the permanent collection and highlights from Dali’s life, subject matter may range from Dali’s interest in Freud, to mathematics, science, art history or his Spanish and Catalan cultures.

Museum docents also lead tours of visiting exhibitions which have ranged from single artist shows of Andy Warhol and James Rosenquist to theme-based shows such as From Pollock to Pop: America's Brush with Dali and Dali & the Spanish Baroque.

Tailored Tours

The Museum’s Group Tours Office can offer discounted rates for groups of 15 or more that book at least two weeks in advance. At this time, groups may request tours tailored to their special interests (Dali & Religion, Dali & Science, Dali & Women, etc.) which, pending docent availability, the Museum can arrange.

Groups using the Raymond James Community Room for their events can also request tours at least two weeks before their event takes place.

Audio Description Tour

The museum is in the process of developing an Audio Description Tour designed specifically for the visually impaired. When complete, this 30-45 minute tour will be free on request.
