Cult Classics FAQ

Cult Classics FAQ

What does the event cost?

Entrance to The Dali’s Cult Classic Summer movie series is free.

At the event, there will be a variety of items you may wish to bring cash for (ATM on-site) including craft beer tasting tickets; limited-edition t-shirts; koozies; food trucks and a bar.

What time does the event start?

Doors open & beer/food vendors start serving at 7pm. Movies begin at 8:30pm.

Come early to enjoy The Dali’s extended hours on Thursday nights from 5-8pm at reduced $10 admission.

Where do I park?

Parking is free in The Dali Museum’s lot after 5pm. Parking is first-come, first-serve. There are also various downtown surface lots, street parking or city parking garages. Parking fees vary.

What if it rains?

The event is held rain or shine. Movies and tastings will be moved inside to the Museum’s Raymond James Community Room and Theater during inclement weather. Food, drinks and t-shirts will be available for purchase inside. We'll make the rain call at 4pm on the day of the event and announce on Facebook. If event is moved inside due to rain, seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Movie will begin at 8pm (vs 8:30) in case of rain.

Can’t take the heat?

We know it gets sticky in the summer. Our Raymond James Community Room (bring your chair/blanket) and Theater (seats provided) will offer indoor seating options for those who can’t take the heat.

Where do I enter?

Enter though The Dali’s north gate of our Avant-garden (around the side facing the Mahaffey Theater).

May I bring a cooler?

Coolers aren't allowed, but have no fear, there will be an array of food items and drinks to purchase.

Will there be food?

Yes, food trucks will be at each event. Cafe Gala inside the Museum will also serve food until 7:30pm. And it wouldn’t be a movie without popcorn!

What are the food & drink prices?

What are the food & drink prices?

How many craft beers can I taste?

We’ll have four breweries at each event pouring 3-4 of their beers – so around 12 varieties will be available for tastings each event. You may purchase two (2) sets of $5 tasting tickets per person at a time.

What can I bring?

- Pocketbooks/handbags/purses (subject to search). No backpacks or suitcases are allowed.
- Chairs*
- Blankets**
- Wheelchairs and medical scooters
- Cameras
- Fun friends (or plan to make some at the event!)

Can I bring my kids?

Yes. However the movies may not have appropriate content for children, so it’s at your discretion. The beer tasting is 21+ only – ID required.

Can I leave and re-enter?

Yes. Please check in with Security before exiting the Avant-garden; you will be asked to leave your drinks behind.

Can the event "sell out"?

Yes, even though the event is free, it can "sell out," since we have to adhere to legal limits on the number of people on Museum grounds. Everyone with a pre-purchased Tasting Ticket is guaranteed entrance; all other entries are first-come, first-admitted. If you do not wish to pre-purchase Tasting Tickets, please arrive early to be in line when the doors open at 7pm. All parties must be present at arrival, please don't save seats.
